S. Raphael Parrish

Photographer

S. Raphael “Sean” Parrish combines his passion for art and his passion for teaching. He has taught art at Brevard High School since the early 1990's. Photography is his personal medium of choice and his black and white photographs and hand-colored photographs are exquisite. Sean is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University where he received a B.A. in Art.

“My early interest in art was in drawing and painting, but I fell in love with photography in college. I love the feeling of freedom and exploration when I'm behind the camera. As a photographer, I use only traditional film and darkroom techniques. I love the look of film photography and the magic of the darkroom.”
