Eleanor Carlisle

Photographer

A Hendersonville native now living in Transylvania County, Eleanor has been fascinated with photography since she received a Kodak box camera at 12 years of age in 1951. She completed the New York Institute of Photography course in June, 2001 (she says it's never too late!) and set up a digital darkroom in 2003. She prints, mats and frames her work.

“ Nature is my favorite subject, the beauty, fun and force of which I love to share through pictures. Digital photography has enabled me to extend my love of nature to the printed page in ways I never thought possible. From the tiniest flower to mountain landscapes, I now create to my heart's desire.”
